SMS Terms
How text messaging from HeydayMD works, and how to stop it.
Contents
1. What messages we send
If you opt in, HeydayMD may text you from (866) 485-3013 about:
- Appointment scheduling and reminders
- Lab kit shipping, activation, and result notifications
- Order and prescription status updates
- Billing and payment notices, including a failed payment on your account
- Replies to questions you send us by text
We do not send third-party advertising by text, and we do not text on behalf of any other company.
2. How you opt in
You opt in by entering your mobile number and checking the SMS consent box on our intake form. That box is never pre-checked, and consent is not a condition of purchase or of receiving care — if you do not opt in, we communicate with you by email instead. You must be the subscriber of the mobile number you provide, or have the subscriber's permission, and you must be 18 or older.
3. How to opt out
Reply STOP to any message at any time. We stop all further text messages to that number and record the opt-out. You can also email team@heydaymd.com or call (866) 485-3013 to be removed. Opting out of texts does not cancel your care, your orders, or your account, and does not stop essential email communication.
4. Frequency, rates, and carriers
Message frequency varies based on your care and orders. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
5. Your mobile information
We use Twilio Inc. as our messaging provider to send and receive these messages on our behalf. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or your SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. No mobile information is shared with third parties for marketing or promotional use. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal information generally.
6. Health information in text messages
Text messages are not a fully secure channel. We keep health details in texts to the minimum needed — for example, we will tell you that a result is ready rather than sending the result itself. If you would prefer we never discuss health details by text, tell us and we will use email, phone, or the care portal instead. Never use text messaging for an emergency. If you are having a medical emergency, call 911.
