How Care Works at HeydayMD
Real licensed clinicians, working from your lab data. Here is exactly who is involved in your care and what each of them does.
Quick answer: Care at Heyday begins with a medical history questionnaire and comprehensive lab work through a CLIA-certified laboratory. A licensed physician (MD), nurse practitioner or physician assistant (depending on your state) reviews your history and lab results to determine if treatment is appropriate. If a prescription is written, it is dispensed by an independent compounding pharmacy, and your clinician continues to monitor your progress with follow-up panels and ongoing evaluations.

Who treats you
Your visit, your prescription decisions and your follow-ups are handled by a licensed physician (MD), nurse practitioner or physician assistant, licensed in your state and practicing within their scope. Which one you see depends on your state and on which of our providers holds a license there — in some states an MD treats you directly, in others an NP or PA does. Nurse practitioners and physician assistants are supported by a collaborating physician of record wherever the regulations of the state you are treated in require one.
The clinician assigned to you depends on your state and on availability when you start. You will always be told the name and credentials of the clinician handling your care inside the care portal, before anything is prescribed. Our full clinician network is listed below.
Our clinician network
These 32 licensed clinicians make up the network that treats Heyday patients, through our clinical provider network, LocumTele (locumtele.org). Each one is listed with their National Provider Identifier (NPI), so you can look them up yourself in the federal NPI Registry, and with the states where they hold an active license. You are treated only by a clinician licensed in the state you are in.
State licenses are taken from LocumTele's credentialing records as of October 1, 2026. Specialties come from each clinician's NPI Registry entry. To confirm a license, check the medical, nursing or PA board of that state.

Content review is a separate function from treatment. Anyone credited as reviewing our education is reviewing published information only — not your chart, your labs, or your treatment plan.
Specialist physicians on our Medical Advisory Board review our consumer education within their fields. They are subject-matter reviewers only and do not provide clinical care to Heyday patients.
What happens, step by step
You complete the intake
A structured medical history and symptom questionnaire. This determines whether you're a candidate at all.
You get comprehensive lab work
At-home collection or a local draw, run through a CLIA-certified lab. We do not prescribe hormone therapy without labs.
A licensed clinician reviews everything
Your history and your results are reviewed together by the clinician licensed in your state. If therapy isn't appropriate, they will tell you so.
Follow-up labs and adjustment
Ongoing monitoring with repeat panels, and dose or protocol changes based on how you actually respond.
Who dispenses your medication
If your clinician writes a prescription, it is dispensed by an independent, state-licensed pharmacy — a 503A compounding pharmacy or FDA-registered 503B outsourcing facility for compounded medications, or a licensed pharmacy for FDA-approved medications. We have no exclusive pharmacy arrangement. Pharmacies currently used include Empower Pharmacy (Empower Clinic Services, L.L.C.), a 503A compounding pharmacy and FDA-registered 503B outsourcing facility based in Houston, Texas, licensed to dispense in all 50 states.
Each pharmacy is an independent third party that ships medication directly to you. HeydayMD does not own, operate or control a pharmacy. Medication your clinician prescribes under your plan is included in your plan price and dispensed by the pharmacy. Your clinician decides what to prescribe, and you may ask to have a prescription sent to a pharmacy of your choosing instead.
Compounded medications, such as testosterone cream and enclomiphene, are prepared for an individual patient against a patient-specific prescription. They are not FDA-approved and are not the same products studied in the manufacturers' clinical trials. Your clinician will explain whether a compounded formulation is appropriate for you, and why, before you start. See our Terms of Service.
Our clinical philosophy
Every Heyday protocol starts with data — not symptoms alone. We require comprehensive lab work before prescribing anything, monitor your progress with follow-up panels, and adjust treatment based on how your body responds. We treat the patient, not the lab number.
We don't prescribe to everyone who asks. If your labs don't support therapy, we'll tell you — and we'll suggest what will actually help. That might be lifestyle changes, sleep optimization, or addressing an underlying condition. Earning your trust matters more than earning your subscription.
